This heavy-duty highway-railway dual-use suspension bridge is engineered for integrated passenger and freight transportation, designed to cross rivers, valleys, or coastal areas while supporting both highway and railway traffic simultaneously. With a 450-meter main span, it provides sufficient navigational space for medium-sized cargo ships, supporting regional water transportation. The 32-meter-wide deck is divided into two levels: the upper level is a 16-meter-wide 4-lane highway, and the lower level is a double-track railway, with a daily capacity of 30,000 motor vehicles and 50 passenger/freight trains, facilitating efficient integrated transportation. Adopting a steel-concrete composite pylon structure and high-strength steel strand main cables, it offers exceptional load-bearing capacity and durability, ensuring stable operation for 120 years. Its high seismic and wind resistance capabilities make it suitable for coastal or earthquake-prone regions.
